Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure Sewickley Academy delivers academic excellence, offers a diverse and inclusive environment, attracts, retains, and celebrates the best faculty in the country, provides a curriculum and culture free of ideological agenda, and makes certain that parents have a powerful voice in the direction of the school.

Who Are We?

We are Parents and Alumni of Sewickley Academy, who are committed to its long-term success.

Sewickley Academy has always been an institution centered on delivering academic excellence with a primary focus on the fundamentals of reading, writing, mathematics, science, history, and the arts, without the influence of social or political bias.

Do you want a focus on academic excellence?  Do you want politics and activism out of the classroom? Do you support having a diverse and inclusive student body? Do you believe Parents should have a voice at Sewickley Academy? Do you want Sewickley Academy to grow and thrive for years to come?

Great – so do we!

Our Commitment  to Diversity and Inclusion

We support diversity in education – diversity of race, gender, socioeconomic status, background, thought, etc. Many of us were drawn to the Academy based upon its rich and apparent culture of inclusivity and diversity, appreciating the environment in which children and parents of many cultures, traditions, and backgrounds work together in support of outstanding academic outcomes and happy, well-rounded kids.
